About me

Hi y'all, my name is Taryn! I'm 22 years old, and I'm originally from Indianapolis, IN. Baking has always been a passion of mine. Since I was 10 years old, I've been in the kitchen experimenting with flavors, ingredient ratios, and the artistic qualities that come with desserts. Funny enough, I also have a biology degree; so, in a way, baking makes perfect sense for me (it's just chemistry). I became sick of not being my own boss and I have two children, so seriously, I am NEVER the boss. I quit my job, got really bored, needed money, and had some downtime...and voilà, TareBear's Cakes was born!
